The spring collection GALLERY by Zimmer + Rohde is a foray through the exhibition rooms of various art movements.
With three different themes, the new collection is setting trends in the international world of interior design. It begins with NATURAL PAINTING. This world, inspired by structures and drawings from the artistry of nature, is impressive with its expressionist and sometimes three-dimensional surfaces. In this way, the shot-metal linen LINEN CRUSH becomes an individual artwork in the creative hands of its owner. Wild-cat designs like BIG CAT and SOFT TIGER will storm and onquer every art salon with their rich colours and modern abstractions.
With MODERN PAINTING, their new silk creations, Zimmer + Rohde have created a line with expressive colours: vibrant peacock green and cobalt blue, magenta and lime yellow. The design of MARBLE, with its shifting dual colours, offers radiance in over 20 various colour compositions. Artistic brushstrokes evoke the art of abstract expressionism in VIBRANT STRIPE.
The experimental transparent fabrics in the SPECIAL EDITION line distinguish themselves with unusual material combinations and innovative production techniques. Cut with precise laser technology, the curvilinear ornamentation of the double-layered curtain material WHIRL is placed by hand and fixed with dot embroidery. The leather dots of POINT BY POINT are carefully and individually applied by hand to the fine, crushed organza ground. Shimmering flower motifs appear weightless in their sheath of gossamer tulle. This is how GLOSSY FLOWER creates special highlights for urban interiors.
Unique textile creations arose at the crossroads of high-tech production and manufacturing. The interplay between transparency and light defines and accentuates their distinctive colours.

To those long mild summer evenings in the garden or for a precious carefree rest in the afternoon sun by the pool, Zimmer + Rohde have dedicated a new outdoor collection.
Whether it’s outside on the terrace, in the garden gazebo, by the pool or in the house – OUTDOOR or IN fabrics fit in anywhere.
Luminous magenta and bright turquoises exude the joys of summer. The maritime colours of navy blue with white or signal red emphasise the clear graphics of the designs. Representing the sporty elegance of these lines are cool silver tones ombined with restrained greige.
All materials are resistant to sunlight and other weather influences, stain-resistant and robust – making letting go of the everyday and carefree relaxation easy.

New Etamine Collection

The fabrics have been specially conceived for furniture in contemporary interiors using elegant and comfortable materials.
The ALPINE collection reinterprets the spirit of the traditional chalet, while instilling an air of modernity. The fabrics used are soft and warm; pure wool, linen and velvet are an invitation to snuggle up in this cosy interior. Renovated colourways bring a contemporary look to these authentic materials.
The collection MURA clearly opts for modernity and pays homage to the designers of the 1950’s. It is inspired by their innovative use of geometric motifs and their dense vibrant colours. The fabrics have been specially conceived for furniture in contemporary interiors using elegant and comfortable materials. A complete harmony has been created between modernity’s bold colours and the softness of the fabrics.
As its name indicates, this collection pays homage to the women of Paris. Every material bears the name of a famous street or square in the City of Lights. Elegant and refined, the collection PLACE DE VALOIS reflects the Parisian spirit. The colours are fresh, the motifs classic, and tradition is revisited with a light hand. Particular attention has been paid to the choice of colours; pinks and lilacs play with greens and turquoises, thus creating a harmony between each fabric. The materials are noble and soft; the combination of silk and cotton and prints enhanced by embroidery bring youth and modernity to this collection inspired by history.

New Wallcovering Collection
Sanctuary
SANCTUARY is the new wallcovering collection for the elegant interior from Zimmer + Rohde. With its intimate character it complements our EVOLUTION collection.
The textile surfaces in this series create very personal and exclusive atmospheres, not only in private spaces but also in bars, lounges and boutique hotels.
Nine items will captivate you with very different looks and colourings. The palette ranges from silky structures, embroidered leather and precious, hand-finished moiré surfaces to subtly woven landscapes with a refined overall effect. Depending on the design and use, various colour schemes are available. In addition to classic tones, there are colour accents from the world of fashion, such as lemon, aqua, silver and taupe.
With its textile wallcoverings, SANCTUARY creates an exciting atmosphere and a soothing environment, whether at home or in a hotel – a refuge from a world that is changing ever faster.

New Travers Collection

TRAVERS introduces its Spring 2012 collection, with inspiration from diverse cultural experience; composed in four unique collections: EQUINOX, ANTALYA, BODRUM and ODESSA (WARNER FABRICS).
EQUINOX, a time of equal day and night, describes the illumination of a universal colour palette. The daylight is reflective of bright, vibrant colours such as pinkberry, parrot green, and turquoise blue, complemented with the rich evening colours of cocoa, dark ink of the midnight sky and silvery cream of moonlight. The celestial ambience is achieved with the introduction of five patterns that make a great dynamic impact. This concentrated grouping of designs consists of velvets, silks and dramatic jacquards that pare well with hues that eclipse day and night, there is find a perfect balance in the EQUINOX collection.
ANTALYA — With the introducing of our largest print assortment to date for TRAVERS, this document inspired collection, takes its origin from the TRAVERS design studio. It offers various design scales and motifs from ikat, Jacobean, florals, tree of life, and fleur de lis damasks printed on natural ground clothes with an extraordinary relax hand and drape-ability. The revival of classic designs, a freshen colour palette married with technological finishing advancements has played a role into breathing new life into this TRAVERS collection. This classic revival introduces the new traditional to the design community in a luxurious way!
BODRUM is a comprehensive upholstery collection inclusive of velvets, jacquards, small-scale designs, skins and solids. The BODRUM collection will complement the prints from ANTALYA and silks from EQUINOX, offering a full range of designs to complete the designer’s story.
ODESSA – the new WARNER collection. ODESSA continues the global journey to the Eastern ports with the delicate, whimsical stitchery of TREE BREEZE; a splendid hand block print, SUZANI, and the coordinating colourful kaleidoscope stripe, MARLOWE STRIPE. A collection staple, MARLOWE PLAIN , compliments the colour palette within each design establishing continuity, a punch of colour and welcome additions to any room setting.

The refined elegance of the new ARDECORA collection “IL CARAVAGGIO “ reflects the varied personality of this eccentric artist.
Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio – the avant-garde painter, famous for his use of light, drama and sensuality. His idiosyncratic style and his unique use of light and shade have had an enduring effect on the work of many prominent artists. Caravaggio‘s (1571-1610) works, as well as his life story, shaped by passions with emotional highs and lows, continue to have a seminal effect on the history of painting even today. The refined elegance of the new Ardecora collection IL CARAVAGGIO reflects the varied personality of this eccentric artist. His precise and naturalistic paintings revolutionized the art world and his special lighting effects, the so-called chiaroscuro technique, gave his work a unique atmosphere.
The collection is dedicated to this spirit of duality and its harmonious interplay between contrasts. The subtle materials, fascinating textures and elegant palette of colours interweave to create unmistakable sensuality.

The tactile drama in the light interplay in the VENTURA velour, created using an intricate embossing technique, produces an extraordinarily lively three-dimensional effect. A myriad of sophisticated printed and woven fabrics are presented in two booked collections.
Longwood provides handsome options including a luxurious blend on linen, cashmere and viscose in Briar Rose. The tactile softness of cashmere will not go unnoticed in this unique jacquard. Solitaire, a linen and cotton pile velvet with subtle patterning is offered in nine tailored colours and Gryphon a tonal print that works harmoniously with many of this seasons offerings are certain to inspired. Charlton reflects the commitment of Hodsoll McKenzie to fine craftsmanship and quality. Highlighting this collection are unique fabrics including Tracery, a hand knotted embroidery with a fine linen ground. Sahara, a luminous chenille texture with an ultra soft hand, achieved by a refined finishing process, and Covent Garden a floral design printed on a bold cotton twill ground. Covent Garden and Sahara coordinate naturally for a serene, relaxed setting.

The iF communication design award is a design award of international significance. Within the past years, it has become a trend barometer for current tendencies in the field of communication design. This year, 1650 entries from 26 countries applied for the awards. The awards ceremony takes place on September 3rd at BMW Welt, Munich.
